The purpose of this project was to create the full branding and promotion for a music festival. I created the event "Briser la Rue": an alternative music festival being held in Montreal. I designed all aspects of the event from the name, logo, brand guide, promotional brochure and poster to advertise the event using Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.

EVENT NAME AND LOGO INSPIRATION
Alternative music goes against what is mainstream and popular.
I chose the name Briser la Rue (Break the Streets), to represent how artists of this music "break barriers" of  rock/pop music. This genre is often played loud with intense beat which listeners jump up and down to.
The logo embodies the edgy, strong energy that would be experienced at an alternative concert.  A hand "breaking" out of the cement, in unity of rocking to the music on the concrete.
BRAND GUIDE
Since the event highlights unique, energetic, hardcore music I wanted the guide to embody that energy and how it takes places outdoors on the street.

EVENT MAP
This map is a true representation of how to get to Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montreal.
I used my artistic license to illustrate the river in the shape of the "Rock-on" hand gesture which is commonly done by those who listen to this genre of music.
